eSAS (Early-Stage Anesthesiology Scholars) serves the interests of early-career anesthesiologist scientists by providing an academic home for developing scholars in anesthesiology.

Our objectives are:

  • To foster peer and senior mentorship, in both career and scientific topics
  • To support the needs and interests of young professionals interested in an academic career in anesthesiology
  • To enhance peer networking and collaborative opportunities, and encourage the sharing of enthusiasm and ideas among its members
  • To develop and implement strategies – at an institutional, regional, national or international level – that support retention of anesthesiologist-scientists in a research-oriented career track and reduce the attrition of motivated scholars at all career stages.
